The Artist
About.
From the journal
I was born in New England. I live and work in Los Angeles. Between those two rooms is most of who I am.
The work is what happens when I stop trying to sound like anyone. Oil, charcoal, paper, paste — whatever the day gives me. I stack it, scrape it, sit with it. Repeat until it stops lying.
Every lesson became a feather. Every hardship became a bone. I'm not chasing a career. I'm shedding a former self on a canvas so the next one has room to move.
If a piece of mine ends up in your room, that's an artifact of a walk — the echo of a becoming. Take it as such.
Every hardship became fuel.
